Since we've been getting so many new clothes in lately, I won't leave ya'll hanging with wondering how you'll accessorize the new dresses Im sure you're dying to buy. We have SO much jewelry in the store, so it's pretty easy to find a piece that you'll fall in love with. And even if you're not looking for something to go with one of our dresses, we have plenty of jewelry that will be sure to complement anything in your closet.
So much jewelry, so little time.
I'll start with one of my favorite items to wear to jazz up an outfit, especially a simple dress, or anything black, are statement necklaces. We have a TON of them and they look super cute with the new dresses we have in the store. Perfect for date night or a Holiday party.
We also have some jewelry for all of you Florida State fans out there. Below you'll find a few pictures of some of the adorable garnet and gold pieces we have right now. Perfect for game day!
And finally, we have a ton of cute little necklaces for layering. They're perfect for when you want to complement an outfit with a pattern without making it too busy.
Whew! That's a lot of jewelry. And we have even more in the store!

For those of you who don't know, we feature a new artist in the back room of Olde Fields every month. Every First Friday, we display the work of an artist, and their art stays up throughout the month.
This month, we have art from Divine Fem, and its AMAZING.
Amanda of Divine Fem describes her work as, "Hand screen printed patches, clothing, and fine art. For those who celebrate the divine feminine, the earth warrior, the wild animal energies, the magical cosmos, and all the beauties of earth and sky."
In the store right now, we have several awesome pieces, inspired by -and made of- crystals. The pieces run from small to large in size. AND there are t-shirts! Really cute t-shirts, btw.
Also available for purchase online here

If you couldn't already tell by the exclamation points in the all-caps title, we just got in a new shipment from one of our favorite brands: KLING. Usually, I only feel cute aggression towards babies, puppies, kittens, elephants, etc. (and yes, cute aggression is a thing: 'Adorableness linked to Aggressive Behavior'.) But, this is the first time I've ever experienced full blown cute aggression towards clothing. I walked into work today, saw the shipment, and just started punching things.
I'm just kidding. I didn't. But, I wanted to. I mean, look at this dress.
You can't tell me this dress doesn't make you wanna punch your screen.
So, If like myself, you also suffer from cute aggression, I should probably go ahead and tell you that I'm including pictures of all of our new stuff.
You've been warned.
My personal favorites from this shipment are the Brookline Dress, the Hempstead Jersey, and the Two Love Swans Bag. What about everyone else?
Oh, and I should mention that if you're looking for KLING in Tallahassee, it can only be found at Olde Fields (We got that exclusive, ya'll!)
We also just got a ton of new jewelry in, so keep an eye out for that post.
We hope to see everyone in the store soon!
As promised, we're doing another installment of the awesome vintage postcards Holly got from an estate sale. This one is from Las Cruces, New Mexico, and once again was sent by Aunt Marion and Uncle Bill-- remember them (Ramona Pageant: 1962)?
The back of the postcard is all about Sand Painting and gives a little history behind the tradition: It reads:
"K-93- Sand Painting: One of the outstanding features of Navajo Indians is their Sand Paintings. These are made by qualified medicine men in which many colors of sands are used, ground from colored rock. By the law of creation it is necessary that the sand painting be destroyed at the end of each day, otherwise it would be a sign of a very bad omen"
Aunt Marion and Uncle Bill write:
Could you make pictures in the sand too? We hear you are having art lessons again. We wish you could be with us on this trip. These mountains are so different from those in North Carolina.
Aunt Marion & Uncle Bill"
Something tells me that Cynthia might be one of Aunt Marion and Uncle Bill's favorite nieces.
These postcards make me wish that snail mail was still popular. There's something really awesome about knowing that not only did someone take the time to write you to let you know they were thinking about you, but they also spent the time and postage stamp money to make sure you knew it. I love it.
*Sigh* Will someone send me a postcard soon? Please?
